Ingestion API connector

Updated Nov 4, 2026 Based on Salesforce docs updated 2026-08-27

The Ingestion API is a REST API for sending custom event and profile data into Data 360 from any system you control. It’s the connector to reach for when you have server-side or backend code and no prebuilt connector — Website or Mobile — fits your source.

Work through these pages in order:

  • Create a connected app and authenticate — set up OAuth so your server can call the API.
  • Complete the required setup — create the Ingestion API connector in Data 360.
  • Define the schema — upload a schema file describing your objects and fields.
  • Set up Postman — import the ready-made collection and send a first test payload.
  • Create the data stream — turn ingested objects into a stream that flows into Data 360.
