Create and activate the Ingestion API data stream

Updated Nov 8, 2026 Based on Salesforce developer docs retrieved 2026-11-08

This is the final Ingestion API step: once your schema is uploaded and your connected app is authenticated, create a data stream so the objects you send keep flowing into Data 360 and land in the data model object (DMO — a defined data table in Data 360) you mapped earlier.

Create and activate the stream

  1. Make sure the schema is defined and the connected app is authenticated first.
  2. From Data 360, open Data Streams and create a new stream, choosing the Ingestion API connector as the source.
  3. Select the ingested object you defined in the schema to stream.
  4. Set how often the stream refreshes with new data.
  5. Activate the stream.
  6. Confirm records are arriving in the mapped DMO.
