Create the website connector and install the Interactions SDK

Updated Nov 7, 2026 Based on the Salesforce Personalization Data 360 setup guide and Salesforce Developer docs, retrieved 2026-11-07

A website connector lets Salesforce Personalization receive behavioral data from your site. You create the connector in Data Cloud Setup, then add the Salesforce Interactions SDK — which bundles the Personalization module — to your pages so it can send that data back.

Create the website connector

  1. From Data Cloud Setup, search Configuration and open Websites & Mobile Apps.
  2. Click New, enter a name for the connector, and set Connector Type to Website.
  3. Click Save, then open the connector record to find its unique CDN script URL.

Install the Interactions SDK

  1. Add the connector’s script tag to the <head> of every page on your site.
  2. Call SalesforceInteractions.init() to initialize the SDK, which includes the Personalization module — there’s no separate module toggle to enable.
  3. Load a page on your site and confirm events reach the connector in Data Cloud.

  <script>
    SalesforceInteractions.init();
  </script>
</head>
